Multimodal Long Range Transportation Plan

Analyzes the transportation infrastructure needs, establishes the priorities for the development of this system by defining a vision, goals and objectives, and thereby define the selection criteria for the projects and services that will be carried out in the short and long term to improve the transportation systems and services.

This Multimodal Long Range Transportation Plan 2050 (MLRTP 2050) has been prepared by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP) and the Highways and Transportation Authority (ACT) serving as the Metropolitan Planning Organization of Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico Metropolitan Planning Organization (PRMPO) is the organization responsible for developing public policies about transportation, carry out the planning process and, create the Long Range Transportation Plan.

  • Update data, population projections and user travel patterns to align needs and solutions with their reality.

  • Improve the quality life for present and future generations.
